The AIChE Student Chapter at Gopalganj Science and Technology University began with a simple idea: chemical engineering students learn best when they learn together, beyond the classroom and close to industry. A group of students set out to give GSTU a professional community connected to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
With the guidance of our Advisor, Md. Kamruzzaman, and Co-Advisor, S. M. Fazle Rabbi, the founding members prepared the chapter's application, formed its first executive committee and planned its first year of activities.

As of September 2026, GSTU officially holds Student Chapter status in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
The chapter is open to students who want to grow as engineers: through technical workshops, plant and industry visits, research, competitions and service to the community.
Our vision
We envision a community where students connect with each other, learn from experienced mentors and industry professionals, and discover the many career paths that chemical engineering opens: from process and energy to materials, environment and safety.
We will create opportunities for student-led projects, where members apply classroom knowledge to real-world problems, and run outreach programs that show young people how chemical engineers make everyday life safer, cleaner and more sustainable.
